We stayed there for 3 days, but I want to visit Kaziranga again and again and want to stay in Shivaji Inn only. I really appreciate and specially want to mention about the care and hospitality and warmth we recieved from Hotel Shivaji Inn.

Guwahati is a major commercial center and the capital of Assam. The downtown areas are crowded and bustling. I hired a car with driver for a day to visit half a dozen temples and other historic and religious sites within the city (on the south side of the Brahmaputra River) and in rural areas north of river. The trip was enjoyable, inexpensive, and very worthwhile.

Kamakhya temple, the famous temple is situated here which attracts a lots of visitors and tourists from abroad as well as India. One can taste the very rich Assamese culture and tradition of Assamese people as well as people from whole north east India here. Mighty River The Brahmaputra flows through Guwahati which gives a very enchanting panoramic view of the city. Only little issue is that the hot water wasn't working in the showers, but they provided buckets of warm water on demand and very swiftly. Breakfast was nice as well! Breakfast was excellent. With so many choices on the menu, my kids had no problem. Wish the location was in a bit less crowded place. But once you are in the hotel, it does not matter. All in all, had a very pleasant stay. Staffs were very nice.
