El Russian Pilgrim Residence está ubicado en un lugar sagrado a orillas del río Jordán, en pleno desierto. I so wish we had booked to stay for 2 nights instead of 1. This guesthouse is in a restricted area, due to its proximity to the Palestine border. On arrival, go to the Visitor Centre and speak to the Police. They will issue you with a pass that enables you to pass the checkpoint and drive down to the guest house. Due to border patrols, you are not allowed to access the River Jordan at night. There is ample parking and, currently, the whole area is very quiet. (However, the Catholics are building on the adjacent plot, so this might increase the number of tourists.) There were only half a dozen other people staying when we were there, so we almost had the residence to ourselves. Our room has comfortable twin beds and was utterly quiet. We hadn't realised how far the guest house was from the nearest town and how difficult it was to access the site, so we didn't know where to get dinner. The cooks prepared food for the staff and they kindly provided extra, so that we were able to eat. The absolute highlight for me was sitting on the terrace, watching the sun set over Palestine. It really was rather special and I didn't want to go in to bed.

A lower number of tourists in the region because of the current political situation, the host did all the can to make our stay conformtable and enjoyable. We wanted to watch live football and the host brought his own router to connect for fast connection to ensure smooth transmission. Thanks.

Los departamentos de lujo se encuentran en Samarah Resort, a unos 2,1 km de la playa de Ammán, y ofrecen vistas al jardín, restaurante, pileta al aire libre y bar. Es un apartamento con salón-cocina muy amplio. Un balcón estupendo con vistas al mar muerto. Dos baños, uno dentro de la habitación principal. Cuenta con parking junto al alojamiento y piscina con bar. Además, acceso privado al mar muerto y te pueden llevar en coche tipo campo de golf. Lo mejor de todo es lo atentas que son las personas que gestionan la reserva, dando facilidades tanto a la entrada como a la salida. Además, nos dejaron en la nevera agua, zumo e ingredientes para unos bocadillos sin ningún coste añadido. Se preocuparon de que la estancia fuera lo más agradable posible.

Tiene una decoración exquisita, no le falta detalle y está limpísimo, tanto la habitación como las zonas comunes. Las vistas son fabulosas y la piscina y la terraza superior son un plus. Tanto el desayuno como la cena que realizamos estaban muy buenos, Alex es un gran chef además de hacernos sentir como en casa.

This place is a lovely oasis close to the Dead Sea beaches and Bethany beyond the Jordan. The host was very helpful and hospitable, even leaving us some snacks on arrival. The apartment was very well equipped, meticulously clean and very comfortable.

A full kitchen and two bathrooms for one-bedroom apartment. Location is perfect, close to the private beach. They have several pools, poolside restaurant, parking is close to the building. On the beach there is famous Dead Sea mud. They even provide a breakfast.
