Set in Udawalawe, 2.5 km from Udawalawe National Park, Ali Weta Safari Resort offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a shared lounge. We loved everything about this hotel!! New spacious room with modern bathroom and lovely private patio; excellent pool to cool off after morning safari or before evening one; very friendly and helpful manager who was always smiling and sharing info about elephants with us over meals; very good food (really liked the rice and curry!) which we weren’t necessarily expecting from a hotel restaurant. And the best part: seeing elephants across the road in park during breakfast l!! Side note: be careful about where you book in this area. The hotel we originally booked canceled on us day of when they found out we’d booked a safari through someone else (not them). We were lucky to find this current hotel who said it was our decision to book safari with them or not (although I’m sure their safaris are good too!).

Helt fantastisk liten stuga längs med den lilla ån som rinner här. Läget är fantastiskt helt ute i djungeln. Så tyst med massor av djur och natur utanför. Perfekt för morgonpromenaden. Stugan var så fin och badrummet utan tak så jag kunde duscha under stjärnorna och palmbladen. Så mysiga ägare med som var så gästvänliga. Detta är bästa boendet på Srilanka! Nära till safari och det perfekta boendet för en natt eller två i Udawalawe.

Vimanra Udawalawa ligger i Udawalawe och har en trädgård. Här finns även ett gemensamt kök och en restaurang. Boendet ligger 13 km från Udawalawe nationalpark. Alla rum har skrivbord och platt-TV. The owner was wonderful and helped us arrange everything from tuktuks to a great safari guide. We really enjoyed how quiet the environment is and it's easy access to the national park.

Jungle Paradise ligger i Udawalawe, 11 km från Udawalawe nationalpark, och erbjuder boende med gratis cyklar, gratis privat parkering, en utomhuspool och en trädgård. Beautiful tranquil location. The lodge is excellent, the rooms some of the best I had in Sri Lanka, the pool is nice and warm and perfect for a dip after a long day of Safari. The staff is excellent and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The lodge also organized my private Safari, my guide and driver Nandu was excellent. I actually liked my Udawalawe Safari better than the one I did in Yala. It is less busy and except Leopards I saw more in Udawalawe than in Yala.

A great area in front of the beautiful river. Good value for money, dinner was very good!! And the staff is very friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean! We took a safari with them and it was great. Totally recommend it

It was a great stay at Lily Resort Udawalawe. They have nice clean room and poolside. Staff are friendly and breakfast is very good. They arrange us reasonable safari tour with snacks to enjoy during our safari. Safari tour guide well knowledge. He gave us superb experience.

Group Safari Family Bungalow ligger i Udawalawe, 17 km från Udawalawe nationalpark, och erbjuder boende med en utomhuspool, gratis privat parkering, en trädgård och en terrass. Amazing value for money. Breakfast was delicious and the owner kindly cooked our evening meals which were lovely. Organised us a safari which was brilliant. 5 minute tuk tuk to the elephant transit home. Swimming pool was great for a cool off. Both room and bathroom were good.

Very nice location, with a green courtyard. The host was very friendly and helpful. He helped me spontaneously book a safari for the next day. There was also a buffet of Sri Lankan curries in the evening, which were very tasty and varied. I would come back at any time(:

Leel’s Safari Cottage ligger i Udawalawe, 12 km från Udawalawe nationalpark, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en restaurang. I’ve been in Sri Lanka for 4 weeks and stayed at more than a dozen places. This one I will never forget. When I first saw the ad, I thought it looked too good to be true. But since there was a special price for the opening, I thought I’d give it a try. I could not be happier with the choice. I've had an unforgettable experience. This place is absolutely fantastic! To help future guests, I will try to provide as much detail as I can in BOTH columns: The cottage only opened in February 2024, so everything is brand new. Unlike in other places, you actually get what you see in the pictures. Everything about this place is very well thought-through and built in a way such as to allow for a most pleasant stay: The cottage is located very quietly in the middle of nature but still close enough to town (5 min by tuktuk). It has an outdoor terrace with two regular and one swing chair offering a lovely view over the garden. The bedroom is beautifully designed and very spacious. The wardrobe and dresser offer plenty of space to store luggage openly and easily accessible. The beds are very comfortable and the mattrasses have standard European/US length (I mention this because sometimes in Sri Lanka, the mattrasses are shorter so that your feet stick out at the end). The A/C is very powerful and there are no smells (which sometimes happens with older models). It cools down the entire room very evenly. There are multiple electrical outlets which all types of sockets (even USB slots). There are light switches for every single lamp which allows you to set the lighting in just the way you prefer. Worth mentioning here too is the warm temperature of the light. The WiFi is reliable and sufficiently strong for browsing, streaming, and video calls.
