There was a lot to love about Relais de Mantadia, starting with the property itself, which is gorgeous. It's also well situated to go visit the places where you can spot lemurs in the area. The hotel is super new, so everything is in great shape and common areas are very well designed. It was hot when we were there, but I imagine the fireplace in the dining hall would be amazing when it's cool out. And speaking of dining, the food was spectacular. The pool was lovely as well.

Amazing service: the staff is always smiling, available and kind. When they knew we were vegetarian, they made sure we had a veg friendly menu. The food was tasty and everyday there was something different. The apartments are spacious, beds comfortable, and a nice space outside to sit and admire the landscape. Would definitely come back

Located in Ambatolaona, 13 km from Railway Station Manjakandriana, Vallombre natiora provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. The host is doing an amazing job regenerating and protecting forest. The location is not too far from the chaotic capital city, yet it is an oasis of beautiful nature and wildlife. The property is on solar energy and well water so you don’t get any of the normal water and electric cuts that happen all the time in the capital city even in the most expensive hotels. The location is also very close to wonderful attractions such as Nosy Soa, Mandraka Park, Peyreiras Reserve and Mantasoa Lake. It is halfway to the east coast and the attractions including Andasibe. We enjoyed hot water, good internet, good food and clean comfortable accomodations. The location is safe and a local family is always on hand to help and give guided tours. The fireplaces in our room and in the foyer were special treats! We also saw completely wild Bamboo lemurs in the host’s regenerated forest, the beautiful Hoopoe birds, the Scopus Umbretta bird which took over a year to build its incredible nest, the crested Drongo and much more!
