Featuring a terrace overlooking the swimming pool, Camelthorn Kalahari Lodge is located 30 km from Hoachanas. We were met with a drink and hot towel after the long drive in - felt like royalty ! Our room was clean and very comfortable. It looked out across the Kalahari desert from where we spotted plenty of wildlife. The breakfast was great and the evening meal was superb - the staff really went out of their way to make the most delicious vegetarian dinner for us😊 The staff are super helpful and friendly. The pool area is great to relax around. Loved the complimentary Bushman’s walk in the morning- really interesting and would highly recommend. The sundowner tour in the evening was fab- we saw giraffes, oryx, rhinos, fox, vulture… and the drinks while watching the sunset was the icing on the cake. Bertus was a brilliant guide.

The friendly welcome by the owners. The accommodation was located on a working farm . The room and facilities were compact but ok for us. We did see some wildlife that came to the watering hole. The various fowls amused us with some of their behaviour. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

The hospitality was above anything I have ever experienced!! Cute town. Great food at the restaurant in town. close (walking distance) to everything we needed. Clean and beautifully decorated. Reasonably priced. Well stocked with everything we needed. Arrived as guests left as friends.

Kalahari Farmhouse Campsite is set in Stampriet, not far from OK Grocer Stampriet and Elnatan Private School. Campers have access to the main lodge's restaurant, bar and swimming pool. Beautiful campsite, very friendly and helpful employees.

Zebra Kalahari Lodge lies within the Intu Afrika Private Game Reserve and is located within a 1 hour' and 10 minutes' drive from Mariental. The lodge features a bar and sun terrace. Very nice rooms with stylish furniture. Great sunset views! Cool bar. Good food at dinners with outdoor sitting and very pretty views.
