Overlooking the Hardanger Fjord, this traditional hotel offers a sports bar, a summer restaurant and rooms with free WiFi access and a TV. Breakfast - normal, good offer, but not oustanding. Location wonderful!

They fixed the loud, squeaky bathroom door handle within a few hours of us reporting it. They loaned us an iron and ironing board. The location was excellent. It was quiet but fairly close to the main tourist area. There were good views in almost every direction. There was free parking and good WiFi. There were lots of shelves (though not in the bathroom). The shower was excellent (good pressure, steady temperature, good enclosure). The bed was softer-than-average, which I liked. The pillow was good (not too thick). The breakfast was good except for the juice which was watery. The on-site restaurant is very good and is open for dinner until 9 p.m., but it has only a small menu. (It is closed on Tuesday evenings.) There are other restaurants nearby, as well as a food truck that sells Thai food. The lounge area is roomy. There are no TV's which I liked (i.e. no loud TV sounds coming from other rooms). Though we heard some noise from the hallway, we never heard sounds from the two adjoining rooms. One can't accidentally lock oneself out of one's room because you have to use your key to lock the door.

Situated 4 km from Røldal Village, overlooking Lake Røldalsvatnet, Hordatun Hotel offers international cuisine and an on-site bar. Very good breakfast. A lot of space in the room, very good facilities. Parking lot nearby. Great view from the windows. Very nice and welcoming staff

Situated in a late 19th century Art Noveau-style building overlooking the Måbø Valley, Fossli Hotel offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with private bathrooms. Vøringsfossen Waterfall is next to the hotel. Stay at the Fossli felt like being "inside a novel". Needless to say, the view is fantastic (and you get the Voringsfossen waterfalls all for yourself in the evening, after the tourist buses stop flowing by), the staff is super kind, and the dinner was a very good surprise too! Maybe we were lucky but our room was also pretty large and very comfy.

Tyssedal Hotel is by the Hardangerfjorden at the foot of the Hardangervidda Mountains, 6 km north of central Odda. It offers free WiFi, private parking and free sauna access. Lovely hotel that is perfectly situated to Trolltunga. You can rent hiking equipment here and it is only a 20 min drive to the P3 car park. They also provide packed lunch / packed breakfast for your hike, which is very nice and thoughtful gesture. The food at the restaurant was also surprisingly good - we had the apple cake and steak and it was delicious. The room was very spacious and the shower was piping hot and powerful, which is great after a long hike. we had a nice view of the fjord from our room. the breakfast selection was excellent!! very good hot options with awesome pasta and sausages and also a wide array of toppings that you can use to pack your lunch for Trolltunga.

This hotel is located by Lake Sandvevatnet in the village of Odda, close to the Hardangervidda National Park and Folgefonna Glacier Park. The centre of Odda is 2.1 km away. The owners of the hotel and Trolltunga Active were incredible. Had the best time staying here. Location was superb. Restaurant was well worth it and got a taste of the local produce and beer. A must stay if you are doing the Trolltunga hike too!
