Turtagrø Hotel has traditions dating back to the 1880s. This hotel is located 884 meters above sea level, at the foot of Vest-Jotunheimen. This is a fantastic location with some of the more interesting hiking and climbing routes in Norway, near the Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark. We choose the accomodation in the "Swiss chalet" and this allow us to save a lot of money :-) without losing the magnificence of the place and additional services provided by the hotel like for example the very good dinner (one of the best we have in Norway). The Chalet is really beautiful and extremely functional. Clean and full of services, like the shower and the drying room.

We stayed in one of the cabins. It was very cosy, clean and spacious and it had everything we needed. The view towards the lake was awesome. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the cabin.

Questa locanda di montagna occupa una posizione tranquilla nella valle del Bøverdalen, proprio accanto al Parco Nazionale Jotunheimen. Offre un ristorante in loco e camere con vista sulle montagne. The location was great as it’s on the way and not at one end of Sognefjellet. The view was beautiful. Great starting point for walks. The food was fantastic. Great chef! The staff and owner were available and helpful, and ensure I had anything I needed. The room was simple and comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. The fireplace in the lobby area was great.

La stanza si trova all'interno di una fattoria ristrutturata molto bene. Gli ambienti in condivisione sono accoglienti e puliti. La cucina in condivisione è molto grande e molto attrezzata. La camera da letta con vista lago è molto accogliente e curata in tutti i dettagli. L'host è stato disponibile e cordiale. La posizione è ottima per chi debba intraprendere la Sognefjellt road.

A group of young cows lived kind of freely on the mountain and it was so lovely to see them grazing right on the other side of the fence around the cabin. Loved it!
