Every detail was well thought out and functional. The colour choices and textures of the fabrics and furniture were lush. The Breakfast is top notch and the fresh squeezed orange juice and cappuccino machine were my absolute favourite!! If I could give this hotel a 6 stars I would. Staff was so wonderful as well. Very happy and friendly !!

A town short on history, now trying hard to update and improve itself. Superb location twixt sea and mountains, gateway to Nordland and the Lofotens, and plenty of beautiful walking country at the edge of town. Good air links, but the unique rail service should not be forgotten.

Fantastic location in Lofoten. This was our home base as we explored the islands. The cabin was cozy - we booked both rooms in the Rorbu. As some people mentioned, the decor was a bit dated, but honestly I felt that gave it some charm. Otherwise the beds were comfy and the cabin was nice and warm. Also the breakfast spread was fantastic - felt very much like we were spending time at home.

What a grand old hotel. It is stunningly beautiful, and perfectly located at one end of famous Sjøgata. My room looked out over the little hotel garden with beautiful lights decorating the trees, and the river just behind it. Very tranquil. My single room was reachable through a sort of rustic vestibule decorated with beautiful old furniture. There was a staircase down to the main restaurant, where soft piano music came up. Very nice, I liked to sit and listen. My room was actually 3 rooms, an antechamber, a main room with dresser and armchair, and the bedroom. I'm impressed. Bathroom was spaceous. The hotel offers multiple restaurants and bars, including a cocktail bar. Staff was very friendly, Breakfast was rich with everything from cereals to mini pancakes.

What a place! The room was amazing, right on the water, floor to ceiling windows to the foot of the bed and side. Decking to sit out and enjoy the scenery and sunbathe with a drink :) Absolutely loved this place. The dreamy cabin in the woods was a gem. Well equipped with fridge, utensils, and small appliances. Wifi was also satisfying. All the other facilities (kitchen, showers, wc) are also in great proximity. The area is full of short or longer trails and the surroundings are magnificent. There is a bus stop, just 7min on foot, and the bike path that can take you all the way to Kabelvag.
