Nestled in the countryside of the Matamata region, this cozy little studio-type location has a breathtaking view of rural New Zealand as the sun comes rising above the mountains just a few kilometers away. As a photographer I'm always on the lookout for quaint locations that I can take stunning portraits, and for this stay I didn't have to go any further than the garden at the back of the property. I can not recommend staying here enough and can't wait for our return visit in a few years!

Walnut Lodge B&B offers accommodation in Matamata. Every room at this bed and breakfast is air conditioned and features a flat-screen TV. Our hosts were wonderful. Friendly but let us hav our space and so helpful even giving us a lift into town for our event so we didn't have to drive in and could relax and enjoy the night. The breakfast delivered each afternoon for the next day swas simple but really nice.

Central Motor Lodge is located on Morrinsville's main street within 250 metres of local shops, restaurants and bars. Accommodation options include spacious rooms and stylish suites with modern décor. The room was spacious. Defined lounge and tv area, dining, bed and kitchen. Bathroom was also large with plenty of room. Friendly staff.

Built in 1977, The Nunnery is located in central Te Aroha and offers a guest lounge and a shared patio with BBQ facilities. It is a 2-minute walk from the Te Aroha Mineral Spas. Nothing extra that we didn't need. The shared area was very welcoming and had a lot of quality resources for planning ahead and looking up NZ details, plus facilities for making coffee or eating food bought in.

Located in the centre of Matamata, this motel offers a swimming pool and a hot tub. All rooms offer a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Tiszta, tágas, jól felszerelt.
