Location just 10 minutes from Hobbiton, surroundings, nice and quiet. And the place itself? Gorgeous! Really spacious, equipped with anything you can think of, Gerda provided us with variety of food options like eggs, homemade bread and jam, yogurts and drinks in the fridge. But most importantly the vibe of the place was great. We felt like home and wished to stay there for longer. Highly recommended. And as for the navigation someone complained about- no issue at all. GPS and also Gerda’s description you receive in advance is accurate!

We absolutely loved the privacy, scenery, and overall quality of this B&B! Nestled in the countryside of the Matamata region, this cozy little studio-type location has a breathtaking view of rural New Zealand as the sun comes rising above the mountains just a few kilometers away. As a photographer I'm always on the lookout for quaint locations that I can take stunning portraits, and for this stay I didn't have to go any further than the garden at the back of the property. I can not recommend staying here enough and can't wait for our return visit in a few years!

Walnut Lodge B&B offers accommodation in Matamata. Every room at this bed and breakfast is air conditioned and features a flat-screen TV. Our hosts were wonderful. Friendly but let us hav our space and so helpful even giving us a lift into town for our event so we didn't have to drive in and could relax and enjoy the night. The breakfast delivered each afternoon for the next day swas simple but really nice.

Central Motor Lodge is located on Morrinsville's main street within 250 metres of local shops, restaurants and bars. Accommodation options include spacious rooms and stylish suites with modern décor. This motel would be one of the cleanest I have ever stayed at. So nice to stay

Built in 1977, The Nunnery is located in central Te Aroha and offers a guest lounge and a shared patio with BBQ facilities. It is a 2-minute walk from the Te Aroha Mineral Spas. Denise us a champ, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. We loved our stay in Te Aroha!

Located in the centre of Matamata, this motel offers a swimming pool and a hot tub. All rooms offer a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Great location and cute hotel! The room was very large and we appreciated all the amenities.
