Situated in Mount Cook National Park and offering beautiful mountain views, Aoraki Mount Cook Alpine Lodge is a 5-minute walk from Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre. It's a very cousy lodge. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Spectacular views on the drive in - along almost the full length of the east coast of beautiful Lake Pukaki..the approach from Lake Tekapo if you drive 'over the top' is pretty special as the vistas gradually open up to the west as you come across. The Shearers' quarters are clean and tidy ..well appointed and comfortable with fab cooking facilities and great hot showers. Access to some wonderful walks on the property with astonishing views across to Aoraki. Alana is clearly very proud of her business and is a warm engaging host. Just be aware...you are WELL OFF the beaten track here. That's the joy of Mt Cook Shearers' quarters.
