Most accommodations boast stunning mountain or region views. beautiful views, comfortable bed and beddings were just right, excellent service and beautiful food and they were very flexible allowing us to stay long in the morning while we waited for the rain to stop before leaving the motel to start our hike. the community kitchen was comfortable and it had everything that we need to use. the toilets were so clean and showers just right.

We were told on arrival that they were fully booked and the manager didn’t know how we were allowed to book the stay through Booking.com, we are so glad and grateful that the manager was able to shuffle some other guests around so we could have a room

Set in Ohakune and only 37 km from Mount Ruapehu, The Gables B&B offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Lovely and welcoming warm room, very clean and well kept. The bed was very comfortable and included a heated blanket if desired. Breakfast offering was lovely, especially the granola.

June was delightful and exuded Kiwi hospitality! We enjoyed kind of a down day on our 2 month trip thru New Zealand and Junes place was perfect! Loved our little day walks and her location is perfect.
