Built in 1865 and restored in 1902, Otira Stagecoach Hotel is situated in the heart of the Arthur's Pass National Park. It offers antiques throughout as well as stagecoaches and horse wagons outside. A unique, 'out of the box' experience. The hotel is a living museum, with antique paraphernalia and curios everywhere. The furniture in the rooms is amazing. Feels like you have stepped back in time to the 1800s. Lester and Sam were excellent as hosts. Meals were great quality and value. The bar (available to in-house guests only) offered beer and wine at reasonable prices. There's not too much accommodation in the Otira / Arthur's Pass area with dining and bar facilities, so the Stagecoach Hotel fills a valuable niche.

Boasting stunning views of mountains, river and the valley, Bealey Hotel is within a 30-minute drive of 5 ski fields. It offers a restaurant, barbecue facilities and free on-site parking. The view was stunning! Excellent staff and service.

It is the most cozy little room! The views are beautiful and the bathroom is lovely. The bed was quite comfortable also.

What a peaceful stay in this cozy cabin surrounded by nature, river sounds, morning birds chirping and amazing night sky. The highlight was the fireplace with wood provided which was so relaxing. Very clear instructions so it was easy to find it even when it was dark. Gary is super friendly, proactive and made sure we understood how to get there.

Waking up to the views - must be gorgeous in winter!! Big comfortable bed and warm shower. Basic cooking facilities which is enough to get you thru :) excellent beer just across the street and just 10 mins away from Arthur's Pass Village and the views on the drive to and fro are excellent.
