The character of the place was great, having kept the vault door in the bedroom made it really unique. The decor in the lobby and the historical artefacts of Oamaru was really interesting. The breakfast concept also suited us very well. All in all, it’s a very well designed boutique hotel with very nice and attentive staff. Definitely worth the stop.

Costruito nel 1881, il Brydone Hotel Oamaru si trova nel centro di Oamaru, a pochi passi dal centro storico della città. We had one of the heritage rooms, which had recently been refurbished to a high standard. It was huge, and very comfortable, so we were delighted. Location was perfect.

Fantastic little place with a lot of atmosphere! the room had a lot of space, it was clean and super comfortable. The staff was amazing and welcoming, making us feel at hone, as every request was answered immediately. the internet was slow, but the hotel manager warned us before we even knew that there is a general issue related to the entire area, so it’s not the hotel’s fault. the AC a bit noisy, but it didn’t matter much as this hotel is a gem!

The hostess was excellent with making us feel welcome and the bathroom was the cleanest I have ever seen. It was lovely to interact with the pets . The view was great.

It was wonderful having a LR to relax in and then go upstairs to bed. Dawn was amazing and made us muffins, pancakes and a yummy fruit mixture to top our pancakes. It is a very homey place and yard has all kinds of beautiful flowers.
