Newly opened in April 2009 after extensive renovations, this 4-star hotel, first opened in 1906, is only 200 metres from Lake Bled and in the immediate vicinity of the train station. The position is ideal for marvelous views. Would choose this location again. There is a path down to the lake just along from the hotel where we walked around the lake and also swam out to the island.

Coffee maker, minibar, everything that you can need. The special evening menu is a realy extra. (Better dinner than I had ever around the world.)

It's always the people who make the difference and the two who looked after us during our stay could not have been better. Warm and welcoming it was like staying with friends and yet there was always professionalism and attention to detail. Whilst our quite spacious 'small' room may not have had quite the style of the public areas it was nevertheless very comfortable. The team took a pride in offering food and drink of a high quality with some interesting and unusual offerings and yet it all felt comfortable and not at all pretentious. A great location and we were comfortable leaving the motorbike in their car park.
