The staff was super friendly and helpful, despite the fact that I could not speak Portuguese. The owner has really thought through every detail of a tourist's need, especially when it is your first time, and was always available if I needed help with translation or a ride somewhere. The location is also convenient, close to the city center, a couple of restaurants, and the airport. It was definitely one of my highlights during my stay.

Dona Helena was a fantastic host. Me and my partner could not ask for a better place. We were safe and blessed to be there. We thoroughly recommend this hotel without a doubt. Emoyeni Gardens is best possible choice in town. Hotel is located by the beach and walking distance to city center. They have beautiful and well maintained garden and pool side, rooms are comfortable and really clean. Breakfast is great and stuff is kind and helpful. Alexa, the manager, will be more than glad to help you with car rental, island tours… she is simply the best!

Located by the beach on Sao Tome Island in the Gulf of Guinea, Omali Lodge provides elegant rooms and free WiFi access. Hard to find anything bad to say about this hotel - everything works well. The manager is very hands on and obviously well liked by her staff and it translates into an excellent experience throughout. There are copious common spaces to hand out and the rooms are spacious. The restaurant and bar were also good experiences. It was very convenient to. the airport and the airport transfers worked very well.

The owners paid attention to the small details making the stay pleasant, both in the restaurant and in the hotel parts. Outstanding view in the terrace, facing hills and mountains.

Boasting a restaurant, SH Boutique Hotel is situated in São Tomé. With a shared lounge, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. It's very central and the staff went above and beyond to help me out , I can't recommend this place highly enough, great breakfast too!

Everything!! Really well designed rooms with hot water, big bathroom, air con, extremely comfy bed, nice bed linen and side lights. We enjoyed using the swimming pool. Beautiful grounds to relax in. Very happy with the food. None of my family wanted to leave!!

The breakfast was a buffet style and was better and with more variety than most European or American 4+ start hotels. Good quality food, good use of local foods, very attentive service. I liked how they used some of the local chocolate syrups and preserves, as well as fruits and coffee. Excellent view of the sea for a bonus! We also had shows every evening, including a local live band and a youth orchestra playing local music. Both were great! The starts of this hotel however were the staff. The front desk was efficient, they were ready for the check in, they had the bill ready for the checkout, and they were always smiling and eager to help. The bartenders and maids were also friendly and proactive, very proactive, same for the towel person at the pool. And Bruna was fantastic! she was all over the place, talking to guests and helping in any way possible from getting taxis to organizing tours, making dinner reservations at local restaurants, etc. In summary, customer service was in line with or better than most 4+ star hotels in Europe or the USA.
