What a wonderful place to spend a few days, I love this style of guesthouse. Hao and Lily are kind, caring hosts who treated us like family. We were staying here when the recent earthquake hit and Hao took personal interest in our safety and comfort after it happened. Expect true warmth and hospitality when you visit. The space is comfortable and the location is great too, in a quiet little neighborhood of Fushi village just down the road from the entrance to Taroko NP. I would definitely return!

Crossing The Rainbow Bridge B&B is located in Xiulin. Free cable internet access is available in public areas. Free private parking is available on-site. The boss was very welcoming and gave suggestions about what to do in the area. Breakfast was delicious and served with coffee and fruit. The room had plenty of space, and the location is set in a beautiful, well-tended garden.

Offering free bikes, Taroko Sialin coffee farm homestay features an extensive area of lush greenery with more than 2000 coffee trees. Lisa and Boya are the nicest people I have ever met in a home stay. Because the hotel is a bit out of town, Boya brings his guests to a restaurant and picks them up again after dinner. I was there with my (adult) daughter and there were 2 other couples. The first night, Boya took all of us for a small trip to explain the taroko people and their culture. After that, Lisa organised a little DIY bracelet making, all free of charge. If you want to go to the Taroko Gorge or Qingshui cliffs, then the location is great, and much closer than Hualien City.

Overlooking Pacific Ocean and Taroko Valley, Li Wu Zuo Cun B&B offers accommodation with free Wi-Fi access in Hualien. It features a large garden. Rooms here are all air-conditioned. This was a very pretty property and the room was beautiful. It’s set at the foothills of a mountain that made the whole view pretty awesome. May (the host) was especially amazing helping us with our itinerary and plans. She goes out of her way to make the guests feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was superb too! The location is great and is just 10 minutes by drive from Taroko national park.
