Imagine waking up to a beautiful sunrise, and heading out to dig into an amazing spread of food made from their own farm, and once you're full to head aside and have tea with the owner. It's perfect.

Great location in the tea plantations and with a lovely hiking trail next door. Very nice and helpful owners. Picked us up from the bus stop and cooked a very local dinner for us.

Offering free WiFi and mountain views, Legendary Bed and Breakfast is an accommodation set in Fenchihu. The accommodation is 1.6 km from Alishan. The homestay is fitted with a cable flat-screen TV. Absolutely stunning million dollar view from the room and its beautifully designed balcony. Large, comfortable room. View changed from hour to hour, cloud sea like an ink painting one moment (not guaranteed, we were lucky), crisp night city lights twinkling in the distance at 4am, I could sit and watch all day long, except you are in some of the best (hilly) hiking in the country. All my photos from a single overnight stay. Good, simple breakfast. Very peaceful feeling. This is for the quad rooms. Smaller rooms will not have the terrace. Older photos do not show the classy partitions between each rooms' balcony. Would love to return for a whole week. Super kind hosts; don't speak English (I know rudimentary Chinese and used translation app).

Featuring free WiFi, Siangting B&B offers accommodation in Fenchihu, 25 km from Alishan. Free private parking is available on site. Rooms are equipped with a TV with satellite channels. Kim from the frontdesk was amazing, very lovely, helpful and friendly. She provided us an itinerary for rainy days which was nice. We received a free upgrade to a room with bathtub. The room was 1 hour before check-in time ready. It was located at the end of the corridor and was quiet, no noise from the corridor or neighbors. It was very clean, the bathroom equipped with a Japanese toilet and linnen also. Beds are very comfortable (for European standards), size is about 160 x 200 cm and we loved the black out curtains. AC worked perfectly and quiet. Western and Asian breakfast available which is different every day, not too much choice but just enough. At the breakfast area you can get free snacks and tea/water throughout the day. Free umbrella service available for rainy days. Recommended!
