This Hostel is a great place to go before the Ha Giang Loop adventure. They have everything you need. They pick you up from the bus station, and you can rent scooters at a great cost ad they give you maps and tell you all the great things to do on the loop. They even have free storage lockers for your luggage while you are on the loop. When we got back from the loop, they booked our bus tickets back to Hanoi, we chilled at the hostel, took showers and ordered food, and chilled until our bus. This HOstel is great if you are doing the Loop!

the family that runs this place is amazing. we arrived at 4am (earlier than expected) and the husband came to let us in and gave us a room. we hadn’t planned our motorbike tour but Huong, the wife told us how to break up our trip given our timeframe and where to stay along the way. upon our return of the Ha Giang loop before catching our bus we were invited to their family dinner and watched the Vietnamese soccer game. the family and friends at the dinner were so nice and hospitable, we felt like family

I stayed at donkey hostel about a week. The staff was super nice, the breakfast is amazing. I specially loved the plating haha! On my last day the owner took me on a day trip around Ha Giang to some villages on the mountains. It was amazing. This hostel is smaller than many others so you have more a home feeling, it's more quiet and you can do the loop with them in a smaller group..also the price of their tour is more reasonable than in other places. I wished I had done the tour with them as well.

Great Hostel to stay your night before- and after the loop. Also works if you wanna stay a couple of days in Ha Giang. All the staff is super friendly, very helpful and kind. We wanted to do the loop by ourselves but ultimately decided to go with Lotus Tours (self driving & easy rider). What was most important were the small group size, slower pace, good price and that they would check for police. Also all the food and the accomodations were very good, we enjoyed the 4D3N Tour very much.

The Ethnic House Lounge Hostel is located centrally in Dong Van just opposite the Old Market Place. The dorms are super comfy, nicely decorated and I really enjoyed my stay there. In addition, the restaurant serves yummy food with plenty of vegetarian options, which was just great for me. While the hostel and restaurant is very busy in the evening with the big groups of travellers on the Ha Giang Motorcycle Loop, they still had space for me, not on a motorbike but hiking, at short notice.

Aine, Wahnna and Rosie couldn't have done enough to make my experience any better doing the Ha Giang loop. They really care about each and every guest unlike other hostel groups offering this tour. Big shout out to our group leader Kevin who is just amazing at what he does - he really deserves all the respect and thanks for keeping us safe all weekend and looking out for us! The hosts Ninh and his wife Rose were the most awesome, kind and friendly people we have met in our month long Vietnam adventure. Great cooking, clean rooms and Rose makes an awesome Lemongrass, ginger and honey tea. We felt welcome at their place. If you want to do any motorbike trekking in Ha Giang, Ninh can arrange all of that as well as bikes, helmets etc. If we come back to Vietnam we will definately visit YOLO House again.

if staying in ha giang this hotel is well adequate for a pleasant stay close to everything the hotel was clean and rooms were large we were doing the ha giang loop on motorbike so hotel carpark underneath was good and secure for the bike i would definitely recommend this hotel for a clean and comfortable stay in ha giang. Hotel on the main road but the noise did not bother us we were on the 6th floor there are rooms elsewhere.

I forgot my headphone in one of the dorm at Majestic Hostel and the intern was so kind to help me find it. But when I came back from the Ha Giang Loop, I saw him politely ask one girl that stayed in my bed before, Her name was Solene she was super rude about the whole situation and was giving him like side eye, SHE JUST NOT A NICE PERSON and I feel bad for the guy. Other than that 10/10 Hostel and Breakfast

The staff at Ha Giang Hostel was what made this place special. They went out of their way to ensure we were able to rent a bike, gear and had a safe itinerary mapped out. When we arrived back to the hostel after our 4 day loop, the team was extremely helpful with booking our bus, even though the bus company stated there would be no more buses. The staff here goes above and beyond and treat you like family

The hostel could easily be rated as the best in Dong Van. It is on the edge of the local market but still quiet to sleep. The owner speaks good English and they are really friendly(In Vietnam, we had few really unfriendly guesthouse experience). They keep this homestay super clean and tidy. Everything works well, shower is hot, bed is comfortable. What else you could ask for Ha Giang loop?

Wonderful stay with Hiem and her family! They built their bamboo house in a quiet place just outside Ha Giang and the rooms are cozy and clean with a beautiful view. We had the best dinners there with the whole family, excellent homemade Vietnamese food (a lot of local liquor aka "happy water") and a great time sharing experiences :) We really hope to come back soon!

The accommodation is fine. The room is large and clean but the door isn’t soundproof so it can get a bit noisy. The real highlight is Mr. Tom. He is incredibly helpful and had lots of very useful advice for the Ha Giang loop and we rented a basically brand new motorbike from him. We left our bags at the Hostel for 4 days and they helped us arrange transportation back to Hanoi.

Everything in Chien’s Lodge was amazing! Room was beautiful, super clean, by far the best stay I had in the Ha Giang Loop (and Vietnam so far!). Dinner was really good, also the best in Loop. We had dinner with the other guests which was also super fun. Chien was an incredible host, super friendly and professional! Amazing value for money. Could not recommend this place more

Great location with beautiful views. The place is well kept and the breakfast was the best we had in all Vietnam. Also, I suggest you try the pizza at the restaurant (I'm from Italy and LOVED it). The owner was extremely helpful in organising private tours of Ha Giang with our limited time, but be careful with pricing, the lady is a hustler ;)

I had one good night in the hostel and three fantastic days during the Ha Giang Loop tourguide! Wonderfull trip and I enjoyed it very much, I will recommend it to everybody who wants to experience the Ha Giang to do it with HG Hostel and Motorbike; everything was perfect arranged also the Homestays on the trip were very kind! I’d loved it!

The staff are lovely, the food is authentic local Vietnamese, and the place is spotless. The Palm is one of the nicest places I’ve stayed. Sure, it’s a bit out of town, but that's a good thing, as Ha Giang City isn’t why you make the journey. It’s for the views and the escape! My wife and two children stayed five nights.

Anh's homestay was the highlight of our trip to Vietnam, the hosts were beyond hospitable, going the extra length to make sure we were comfortable in all aspects of our stay. Their cooking was amongst the best we've had during our time in Vietnam. I will be coming back to Ha Giang and staying at this property.

We stayed for one night before starting the Ha Giang Loop, and it was a very nice and quiet stay. The Hostel is very close to several motorbike rental places and restaurants. It is a 5 minute walk from the bus station. Even though we left very early, they still prepared a Banh Mi for breakfast.

The staff was incredible. I fell off my motorbike on my way into Ha Giang, and they helped me get to the hospital, extended my stay, and helped organize alternate travel back to Hanoi. So incredibly helpful! The room was clean, comfortable, and had the nicest bathroom I’ve seen yet in Vietnam.
